Costume: The character at the start is wearing a white lab coat. This suggests to the audience that he could be a scientist or a doctor. The kids were wearing old fashioned clothes and have long hair. This shows that this was set in olden days. Lighting: The lighting in the scene is turning on and off.  In the basement there was only one light.  This suggests to the audience that they are trying to create a horror scene and create suspense to scary the audience.  Setting: At the start, it is set in a hospital, in the middle of the scene, in a basement, and at the end, in a forest.  Props: The boys uses bicycle. Uses a telephone to call someone but it didn't work. He also uses a gun at the end but he wasn't able to since the monster was behind him.  Actor placement/movement/expression: The man at the start looks terrified and the boys seemed happy playing until one of them left to go back home.   Denotation: In the Water Aid advert, I can see a boy sanding, he's wearing a blue shirt. There is: Logo and title which are example of written and verbal codes. There are also symbolic or non-verbal codes the boy has expression of sadness. There is also technical codes such as the colour of the background is brown. The audience might feel sorry for the people that don't have Water or a bathroom that they can go to. The audience might want to help the people in need. Connotation: In the Water Aid, the connotation of the colour scheme brown which could infer that were the boy lives its a poor place and maybe the water aid is making us feel bad about the boy ad people living without water. The title refers to that people living there don't have toilets and they may have to 'dig' the floor to go toilet so this might mean that they want real toilet instead of digging up.   Denotation: In the start helping poor advert, i can see that a person hands are open.
