Demographics and Psychographics

 1) What information do media companies use to create a demographic profile of their audience?

Age, Gender, Class, Ethnicity. 

 
2) Why are media companies and advertisers increasingly using audience profiling and not just demographics?

They are making it more detailed for the audience, looking at personality's, interests and lifestyle. 


3) What are the seven different Psychographic groups? 

 The Aspiper, The Reformer, The Explorer, The Mainstream, The Succeeded, The Struggler, The Resigned. 


4) Write a brief summary of what each Psychographic group is seeking or motivated by.

The Aspiper is materialistic, acquisitive people, who are driven by others. 

The Reformers is don't tell me what to do or what to think. 

The Explorer is these people are driven by a need for discovery. 

The Mainstream is these are the people who live in the world of the domestic and the everyday.  

The Succeeded is succeeds posses self-confidence have a strong goals orientation and tend to be organised. 

The Struggler is struggler live for today, and make a few plans for tomorrow. 

The Resigned is these  are predominantly older people with constant. 

5) What psychographic group or groups do YOU belong in? Think about your own interests and lifestyle and explain your decision. Remember, you may fit into two or three different groups! 

I think I will the succeeded is succeeds posses self-confidence have a strong goals orientation and tend to be organised. I think is one perfectly suites me.
