WaterAid advert dentation & connotation

 



Denotation:


In the Water Aid advert, I can see a boy sanding, he's wearing a blue shirt.

There is: Logo and title which are example of written and verbal codes.

There are also symbolic or non-verbal codes the boy has expression of sadness.

There is also technical codes such as the colour of the background is brown. The audience might feel sorry for the people that don't have Water or a bathroom that they can go to. The audience might want to help the people in need.


Connotation:


In the Water Aid, the connotation of the colour scheme brown which could infer that were the boy lives its a poor place and maybe the water aid is making us feel bad about the boy ad people living without water.
The title refers to that people living there don't have toilets and they may have to 'dig' the floor to go toilet so this might mean that they want real toilet instead of digging up.  




Denotation:

In the start helping poor advert, i can see that a person hands are open.
There is: a title and also there is symbolic or non-verbal codes the person hands are dirty.
People might help people that are in need. 

Connotation:

In the start helping poor advert, the connotation of the colour scheme is white and the persons hands are brown to show that they haven't washed it or that they didn't have water to wash there hands. The title refers that we need to help the poor.
