'Mise-en-scene: Stranger Things analysis'

Costume: The character at the start is wearing a white lab coat. This suggests to the audience that he could be a scientist or a doctor. The kids were wearing old fashioned clothes and have long hair. This shows that this was set in olden days.

Lighting: The lighting in the scene is turning on and off. In the basement there was only one light. This suggests to the audience that they are trying to create a horror scene and create suspense to scary the audience. 

Setting: At the start, it is set in a hospital, in the middle of the scene, in a basement, and at the end, in a forest. 

Props: The boys uses bicycle. Uses a telephone to call someone but it didn't work. He also uses a gun at the end but he wasn't able to since the monster was behind him. 

Actor placement/movement/expression: The man at the start looks terrified and the boys seemed happy playing until one of them left to go back home. The boy looked really scared at the end since the monster was chasing him. 

Makeup: There actors didn't use makeup in the scene.
